Artwork Guidelines
FOR PRINTING
1. File Type
-
Preferred: PNG (with transparent background), PDF, or vector files (AI, SVG, EPS)
-
Resolution: 300 DPI (dots per inch) at the actual print size
-
Colour Mode: CMYK (used in printing).
2. Design Considerations
-
Transparent Background: Especially important for heat transfer so there’s no white box around the image.
-
Size: Set your artwork to the size you want it to appear on the garment (e.g. 10 inches/25.4 cm wide for a chest print).
-
Crisp Edges: Make sure lines are clean and not pixelated for the best print quality.
-
Avoid Gradients: Stick to flat colours.

FOR EMBROIDERY
1. File Type
-
Preferred: Vector files (AI, EPS, SVG) or a high-res PNG
-
Your design will need to be converted into a DST file (a machine-readable embroidery file)—we will do this for you!
2. Design Considerations
-
Bold and Simple: Fine details and thin lines don’t stitch well.
-
Solid Colours Only: No gradients or shading—just blocks of colour.
-
Scale: Embroidered designs are typically smaller (e.g. chest logo, cap, sleeve).
-
Font Size: Lettering should be at least 6mm tall to stay legible.
-
Thread Limitations: Embroidery machines have restrictions—complex images may need simplifying.
